I recently bought a MacBook Pro M3 Max, and am thinking about getting a new monitor for it.

Questions is whether I should go for a HD monitor with at least 1000 nits brightness for my occasional processing? My 14" laptop display is XDR but too small for my taste to work on post process. The Apple Pro Display XDR is just too pricey for me, and the monitors with DisplayHDR 1000 or DisplayHDR 1400 certification seem to all be gaming purposes (which I don't know is a bad thing if I don't do gaming).

Thoughts?
