I hate to bring the wrath of some but honestly instead of finding solutions to shoot what you want whining about camera X not doing feature y as good . Take a look at any photo sharing site and you will see many thousands of images of moving subjects taken with the humblest of gear. I currently own two of the most advanced AF models in their respective formats the Z9 and the OM-1. I find for about 99% of what I shoot S-AF is plenty perhaps a little practice would be a good idea.

Not to brag, but my hit rate for static and moving subject with scale focusing on film M bodies where you can’t even “spray and pray” is pretty good, up to 50mm focal length. AF-S is fine on the Zf, but when the light goes out and you use smaller apertures the 40/2 tends to hunt back and forth before acquiring focus. It’s just the way it is. You can’t rely on it for quick snapshots on the street. My whole point was just to ask if people here think that an implementation of a digital DoF system paired with a fixed snapshot setting a-la-GR may be implemented for the Zf n the future, considering that zone focusing with this system at the moment is not an option.
