This came up in another thread so thought I’d restart the conversation here to save hijacking it.
I mentioned that I did not think the ISO performance matched the S5. The noise pattern was worse, with more chroma noise, and more pronounced at higher values than with the S5. There also there looked like noise reduction in raw smoothing detail and making images look too smooth.
here is a video showing what I’ve been seeing. I notice it especially in skin, in raw stills. In the description the explanation is that some sort of software anti aliasing might be killing detail.

For all the advantages the S5II has in AF performance I am actually considering buying back an S5.
