As near as I can see, after I close the ad at the bottom of the screen, in the middle of the screen, when looking at the forums, it does not reappear. Or at least not for awhile.

This was the ad that was annoying me the most, by far, and so ... if it is gone ... I would say that is great news for the site.

It's still there when you first arrive, but if you click on the "X" in the top right hand corner to close it, it doesn't come back the next time you click on a message. That's what it looks like to me.
