The consensus in other forums seems to be to wait until MS issue new guidance and/or a new update.

My laptop had that problem (but not the desktop), so I used Aomei Partition Assistant to reduce my C: partition and extend my Recovery partition by a little more than 250MB.

It's easier than the MS method, and KB5034441 installed without issues after that.

(I always make a disk image of the OS drive before making changes like this)
