One of the issues with having a relatively big sensor and a relatively wide aperture (in a fixed-aperture lens) is that the depth of field is limited - not everything at every distance can be in focus.
The insta360 Ace Pro is fixed focus, and it has a significantly larger sensor than the GoPro Hero's, with a similar wide-angle lens. As a result, its closest focus distance is relatively high - 1.5 feet. Vloggers, who shoot videos in which their face takes up most of the screen, thus cannot use the camera as is - their face is too close.
The fix is to add a diopter lens. This can be done.
In this 8K video I try out two diopters - a +4 and a +2. The former can focus the Ace Pro lens from 4 to 10 inches; the latter from 10 - 24 inches. But are the results really sharp? Is there bokeh? I shot the video in 8K, the highest resolution, since the issue is truly sharpness of image, up close.
