Fujifilm X System / SLR Talk Forum
Hi everyone,
just a little story to share because I never heard of this issue before on X100 series so I want to share with you.
During Christmas holidays, went to see family in law and spend some nice time, little bit of bird and landscape with trusty XT3 as well as a little family pictures withe X100F and suddenly it stopped working. I could see that the LCD was gray and not possible to take any picture or use either LCD or viewfinder. Removed the battery and put it back, trued various battery and memory card to confirm it was not faulty but nothing worked. Long story short, sent the X100F to fujifilm repair service here in Japan and a week later got a quotation for «the power supply has been found to be faulty » around 500$ (bought it used but mint condition 5years ago).
Obviously if I do not repair it I have nothing out of it and I guess after repair I can sell it at 2nd hand camera shop for 650-700$.
Initially I was considering to sell my XT3 for XH2S as I do more bird photography than before (as an amateur) but now I think it is wiser to keep the XT3 as backup/landscape centered camera, sell the X100F after repair and get maybe a used XH2S. What a bummer.
Anyone had similar issue?
